'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas' Outfit Of The Day

Christmas Eve is one month away from now, and I am so excited for it this year! We've started decorating at my house and I think my dad is secretly getting into the spirit. He's not a big Winter fan, its too cold for him. The snow has started to come down where I live and I am actually enjoying it (My dad will kill me for saying that, love you dad) Anyways I thought I would share my uber comfortable outfit with you all today! It actually kept me super warm while I was outside, especially my soft little mittens (I will list everything I wore below) Have a magical night everyone, sip some hot chocolate for me!

Stila's 'Sealed With A Kiss Lip Glaze Set' Review

It is now the end of November and all of the makeup companies are coming out with their christmas gift sets! I was Christmas shopping for my family and friends and stopped at Shoppers Drug Mart to see what they had in. I picked up a few presents and had convinced myself I wasn't going to buy anything for myself. I broke that rule and bought the Stila Cosmetic 'Sealed With A Kiss Lip Glaze Set' for myself (yes I know I'm on Santa's Naughty List!) Just so you all know I only have a few odds and ends left to pick up, so I am almost done christmas shopping (Yay!)

This gift set includes six of Stila's deluxe size Lip Glazes in a golden cardboard case that is very festive. The actual Lip Glaze tubes are a hard clear plastic with the brand name a long the side. All of the glosses have the colour name on the bottom of the casing, and a pop off lid. To apply the product you have to twist the gloss until it comes out of the bristles at the top, and then you apply directly to the lips. All of the colours are pink based and are easily wearable for any skin tone. Some of the glazes are more pigmented then others. Both 'Raspberry' and 'Pomegranate Sparkle' are very pigmented and could be worn alone. I am in love with all of these colours, especially 'Raspberry' and 'Peach', but my only complaint is that I wish that they were all more pigmented. 'Mandarine Lights', 'Papaya Pizazz' and 'Peach' are beautiful colours in the tube, but come out very faint and similar.

Left to Right:
Peach, Mandarine Lights, Papaya Pizazz, Ruby Grapefruit,
Raspberry, Pomegranate Sparkle

I would suggest checking out Sephora for gift sets for christmas, but if you are on a budget then for 29 dollars this is a pretty good deal. I will be using all of these Glazes one way or another! Until my next post, stay classy!

Evergreen and Cranberries Outfit Of The Day

We finally had our first snowfall of the season, which was both sad and beautiful. It was just a light dusting but when it snows six months out of the year from where you are from, the snow gets old quick. My sister Rebecca and I decided to go for a walk down in the woods today and take some photos of my outfit. Hope it gives you some chilly weather outfit inspiration!

Diabetic Friendly Omelette

Being Diabetic is not an easy thing, I should know I have Type 1 Diabetes. That being said life doesn't have to be horrible for you. You can still enjoy all the things you did before, just in moderation! Because it is November (National Diabetes Month) I thought I would share one of my favourite Breakfast foods with you! Until recently I was struggling with finding food that I enjoyed that didn't shoot my sugar levels through the roof. I am not a cereal person at all, I hate the mushy milky texture that happens when you eat Cheerios! So I set out to find breakfast foods that I actually enjoy. Omelettes and eggs are where it is at for me. They're tasty and low carb, which is important for a Diabetic. I am not a Doctor or Dietician, this is just what has been working for me. I hope all of my fellow Diabetics out there find this simple yet delicious recipe as amazing as I do!

THINGS YOU'LL NEED

2 Eggs - 2 Carbohydrates
Vegetable of Choice (I used Broccoli) - 7 Carbohydrates
Mozzarella Cheese - 1 Carbohydrates
A Small Tomato - 3 to 4 Carbohydrates
Frying Pan
Spatula
Optional * Salt, Pepper and Herbs

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat your stove top to medium heat, place frying pan on (Add a little bit of butter if you need to)
2. Chop up your Vegetable of choice and then put it into a bowl.
3. Crack your eggs into the same bowl and mix together.
4. Pour omelette mixture into the frying pan.
5. Thinly slice your cheese, and place onto omelette.
6. When the cheese has started to melt, its time to fold your omelette in half. Then let it sit for 1 minute.
7. Take your omelette from the pan and place on your plate.
8. Slice up your tomato, and add herbs, salt and pepper to taste.

I hope this recipe was helpful to all of you out there. It always keeps me satisfied and controls my Glucose levels. Remember that you are not alone in this battle, stay strong and keep your head up.

Tarte's Poppy Picnic Palette Review

Tarte never lets me down with any of their products, it hands down has to be one of my favourite brands! When I walked into Sephora in late August, I was doing the usual rounds. Urban Decay, Nars and Benefit until I noticed a golden halo of light coming from the Tarte section. Angels literally sang to me. I found the 'Poppy Picnic Palette' and I immediately had to swatch and buy it. It's limited edition so can you really blame me? I have been using it to on the daily to spruce up my natural makeup routine and I can honestly say I am so happy with this purchase. If you love Tarte Cosmetics as much as I do, you probably already have your little mittens on this guy. If you are a beginner to makeup or are still trying to decide whether or not to buy it then I hope I can be of some help.

First off the packaging of this palette is absolutely beautiful! It uses pink, gold and purple to make up the poppy designs. It is also in a very sturdy case that clasps, so you shouldn't be worried about it coming open. When you open the palette up it has a mirror inside that is the size of the palette itself.

Moving on to the actual Eyeshadow Palette; it comes with six natural matte shadows and a beautiful peachy/pink shimmer blush! The colours in the palette can all be used for light day looks, or for darker nighttime looks. It just makes me feel all warm and cozy whenever I use any of the colours. My favourite shadow from this palette has to be 'Peach Poppy', it's an amazing colour to sweep all over your lid. I also love the colours 'Barefoot in the Grass' and 'Sweet Tea' for in your crease or for a transition shade.

Left to Right:
Summer Breeze, Sweet Tea, Ice Cream Cone, Barefoot in the Grass, Peach Poppy, Picnic Basket, Glisten
The Blush, 'Glisten' takes the picnic basket for me though (ha see what I did there) If you use a light dusting over your cheeks it looks like your face is glowing. The "I-just-went-to-the-beach-and-played-volleyball-like-a-Victoria-Secret-Model" glow. Sounds like my kind of 'Glow' right?

All jokes aside, this is an amazing eye and cheek palette from Tarte.  This is also a great palette for all the beginners out there. The colours are all buttery and easily bendable. The only downside for me is that this palette does not come with a brush, which would have been really nice. You can pick this up online for 46 dollars Canadian + shipping. Alternatively you can take a trip to your local Sephora and snatch one up for the same price. Whatever you decide to do this is a great palette at a pretty affordable price. Have a 'Peachy' day!
