Sephora, Mac, and Lush Makeup Haul

Hello people of the internet! I like many others have been Christmas shopping and have spoiled their loved ones. I also decided that it would be nice to spoil myself and give me an early Christmas present. I went to Sephora and picked up the Le Grand Palais Holidy Collection. It is so beautiful, I am in love! I also picked up Mac Lipsticks in the shades 'Velvet Teddy', 'Russian Red', 'Impassioned' and 'Media'. I think my favourite is 'Velvet Teddy' or 'Russian Red'. I also grabbed some bits and bobs  at Lush.

My Autumn Essentials

Finally the time has come for those cosy sweaters, dark lips and Pumpkin Spice everything! Autumn is my favourite time of year, because here in Canada the trees turn deep reds, burnt oranges and beautiful yellows. The air smells like warm apple cider, and I am always satisfied by the crunch of the fallen leaves beneath my feet. I am just filled with joy during the months leading up to Christmas, nothing can bring me down. That being said there are a few things that I just cannot live without during the Autumn Season.


As you all know I am a lover of trying new things, but in the fall I have some tried and true products that are always in my makeup bag. I am madly in love with Mac Cosmetics, and their Media Lipstick is perfect for me. The dark wine colour just suits my skin tone too well. It is a Satin finish, so it doesn't suck all of the moisture out of my lips; which is a good for someone with dry skin like Moi.


Another Mac Holy Grail item for me is the Mac Prolongwear Foundation. This just gives me perfect coverage, and never irritates my skin. I definitely recommend this foundation if you are a beginner to Mac. The only downside is that it can be heavy on he skin because it is a full coverage foundation.

The Body Shop is another fantastic Brand. Its affordable while having amazing quality products. My favourite item would have to be the Honey Comb Bronzer. It brings just enough colour to your face, and it is perfect for contouring, especially if you pair it with the contour brush from Real Techniques.


If you have never tried Tarte Cosmetics then you are seriously missing out! Tarte is one of my favourite Cosmetic Brands. Every product that I have tried, I have fallen in love with. Poppy Picnic is no exception. In the palette you get six eyeshadows and a glittery blush. The reason that this is on my essential list is because I have been using it religiously since I picked it up in September. The colours are stunning, and can be used for a natural look or for a darker one. The blush is amazing too. Its a coral colour with shimmer in it; a light sweep over the cheeks make you glow!

Warm snuggly scarves and black boots are where its at for me! I love oversized sweaters and infinity scarves, and they always look fashionable. I wear this berry coloured knit scarf, and my Jeffery Campbell Lita Boots all the time. They always can cozy up any outfit I am wearing. Cozy materials are matched perfectly by cozy scented items. Normally I would say you can never have enough candles, but this year my go-to fall scent is the 'Sunkissed' Body Spray from Victoria's Secret. It smells like Vanilla and Coconuts and always makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

New York City Trip

The Big Apple

New York is the city of dreams; the place where everything can come true, or so that's what I have been told. I visited New York City a while back and I was going through some photos and thought I would show you guys some highlights of my trip. I was gone for a five days in May and stayed at a hotel in Manhattan. My first night was like a dream, I had never seen so many people scrunched into one city. The largest city I had ever walked around in was Toronto, so this blew my mind to say the least. The hustle and bustle of NYC isn't something that you can fully understand if you haven't been there, you have to experience it.


After sunset we rode the elevator up to the top of the Rockefeller Centre and gazed on the city far below. When you are up so high looking down on the Big Apple your breath is taken away. Photos do not do the view justice, it just reminds me how small our world really is.




The next morning we got up early and visited some different churches.
The one above is St Patricks Cathedral. 
Like every tourist we went and saw the Statue of Liberty.



We also took a lovely stroll through Strawberry Fields, and into Central Park.




Visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art for an entire day.


And finally I had to fulfil my childhood dream of going to Nintendo World to see the Legend of Zelda Collection. I also met a giant Pikachu!


 Going to New York City was my favourite trip I have ever taken. It exceeded my expectations, and I would visit The Big Apple again in a heart beat. If there is a place in the world pulling on your heart then my advice is to save up and go see it. No matter the city or cost. If you want to travel then do it. Honestly you won't regret it. 2015 is going by so quickly, I can't believe all that has happened in the past month. I am 100% positive that everyone has had something new exciting happen to them already. 2015 feels like its going to be an amazing and fantastic year for me! 
To start off the ending of January and the beginning of February I thought I would write about Valentines Day. If you are anything like me and are single with no strings attached then this look is perfect for you. Its great for a lady's night out, let all of those guys drool over you. For all those ladies out there who have a special someone don't worry because this is a great date night look for you too!

Mascara: The Great Lash Loads of Lashes in Very Black
Lips: Revlon Color Burst Lip Butters in Candy Apple
The makeup in this look is simple casual but also flirty. It's perfect for Valentines Day, it's sexy without being dramatic. This is just a simple Smokey Brown eyeshadow look with thin Cat Eye eyeliner. Using bronzer you just contour your face and then sweep some blush on your cheeks to give you a flushed and sweet look. Top this off with red lipstick and you have an amazing and simple valentines makeup look. 

                                   ---------- Outfit ----------

This outfit is perfect for anyone living in a colder climate for Valentines Day. I made sure to have a warm and comfortable outfit because in the winter time all we really want to do is drown in warm fuzzy blankets. I paired a cute pink patterned dress from Ardene with a tan trench coat from Suzy Shier. Finally I threw on some black knee high socks and my brown riding boots from Call it Spring. This look is put together and fashionable without being uncomfortable. Whatever errand, date or event you have on Valentines day you will be stylish and comfortable.
